Equipment Engineer

Background

in mechanical engineering or equipment design is preferred. Licensed mechanical engineer is preferred. Hands‐on experience in designing and commissioning automated mechanical systems. Proficiency in designing mechanical components and automation mechanisms is preferred. Experience with robotics integration, including robot programming, end‐effector design, and safety systems. Experience with vision systems, image processing, and camera‐based inspection technology. Expertise in safety system design, including risk assessment, functional safety, and safety controller programming. Experience with mechanical reliability tools or statistical process control (SPC) is a plus. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, a plus. Experience with SQL—specifically MS‐SQL—and the ability to navigate, create, and optimize databases for historical data storage and data analysis is a plus. Familiarity with electrical systems and control panel design, such as wiring diagrams, sensors, actuators, and power distribution. Capability to perform root‐cause analysis using structured methods such as 5‐Why, FMEA, or fishbone analysis. Strong project management skills, including requirement definition, scheduling, and cross‐functional communication.
