ICNSの起点は1995年で、名古屋で開かれたTopical Workshop on III-V Nitridesとボストンで開かれたMRS Intl Symposium on Gallium Nitride and Related Materialsを合わせたものと公式に記載されている。以降ICNS-2からICNS-14までの開催地と年がwelcome letterに一覧で印刷されている。

第15回のICNS-15は2025年7月6日から11日まで、スウェーデン・マルメのClarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Liveで開催されました。Important datesページには「6th to 11th July 2025: ICNS-15 in Malmö」と印刷されており、Program bookletの各ページヘッダーにも「Malmö, Sweden, July 6 – 11, 2025」が入っています。

投稿締切はいつでしたか。締切後に投稿する手段はありますか。

ICNS-15のアブストラクト締切は当初2025年2月23日で、3月10日まで延長されました。採否通知は2025年4月末です。締切後の受け皿としてLate News投稿があり、締切は2025年5月8日(延長なし)、通知は5月20日でした。Late Newsページの表示は「Late news submission is closed.」です。

査読はありますか。どう選考されますか。

投稿はアブストラクト単位で、本文2400文字とは別に図表1ページを提出します。この図表ページは「The second part is only for review purposes and will not be published.」と印刷されており、審査資料として使われます。選考体制としてProgram Committee(Chair、Co-Chairs、America/Asia/Europeの地域Chair、および多数のメンバー)が公開されています。論文化する場合、APL・JAP・AIP Advances側で「regular peer review」が行われるとProgram bookletに書かれています。

口頭発表はContributed talkが15分(12分+質疑3分)、Invited talkが30分(25分+質疑5分)、Plenary talkが40分(35分+質疑5分)です。スライドはWidescreen(16:9)が推奨され、1枚目に氏名と発表題目を入れます。ポスターは縦向き(portrait)で最大幅90cm、ポスターセッションは7月7日17:00-19:00、7月8日17:00-19:00、7月10日15:00-16:00の3回です。
